Great service and it's worthy!! One of the best experiences during my road trip! Heaps stunning views that you could only see from the air! Abrolhos Island & Hutt lagoon

Have had only one bad day in WA in our four week holiday thanks to Kalbarri Scenic Flights. I actually think it was a bit dangerous and the flight should have been aborted. To start with, it was raining (who wants to do a scenic flight in the rain?) and then we got advised via text message one hour prior to departure that our flight would be delayed an hour due to weather after we had explicitly told the reservation agent upon booking that we had another engagement post flight and would prefer an earlier departure if possible. We immediately tried to abort the flight and save this wonderfully advertised experience for next time, however all attempts to contact their office (mobile, land line and messenger) went unanswered.When the pilot eventually landed one hour later, he also was unable to contact anyone in the office and did not have the authority to issue a refund, so with this inauspicious start, off we went.Half way out to the Abrolhos Islands - where we were supposed to touch down for a “delicious afternoon tea” - the pilot actually turned around as the rain cell he tried to fly through was larger than he thought and visibility reached zero meters. Not an experience we’d ever like to repeat! About 10-15 minutes later, he did find his way around the cloud but then asked us to make the decision whether or not we wanted to actually stop as he knew we were time poor, however only one of our party of three had been given a headset with a microphone on it so we clearly couldn’t communicate to each other to make any kind of decision! Not that it mattered, as when we got there, a) it was raining; and b) there was a puddle on the runway (which I’m sure the pilot knew about as we were his fourth flight that day) which meant we couldn’t stop anyway.So after about five minutes flying around the Abrolhos, back to Kalbarri we flew an hour and a half later.See our photos for the “impressive” whales (ha!) and the beautiful vista! And I’m still left wondering what out delicious afternoon tea was! Complete waste of money. If you really want to do this, then don’t book until the day and you are sure of the weather. Better to miss out than go in the rain.

I was taking 5 family members (aged 17 to 70s) on a road trip from Perth to Kalbarri and decided to surprise them with an aerial view of the pink lake (Hutt Lagoon).My family members aren't the adventurous type so I really wasn't sure if they'd run off at the sight of the Cessna. The surprise was revealed as we drove into Kalbarri Airport. To my relief, everybody was excited (or nervous, I couldn't tell). Our pilot Ashley has an easy going manner and humor which helped a great deal to put everyone at ease before the flight. Whereas it had been grey and overcast the previous day, thank heavens we were blessed with perfect flying weather.As we lifted off the runway into the clear blue skies, Ashley's commentary made us aware of the sights rolling past underneath. Come to think of it, the pilot has to fly, talk to us, and communicate with air traffic. No easy feat but I was seated behind him and could see that he handled it like a pro.The experience was better than I had imagined. Australia's vast and rugged terrain is best appreciated from above. We followed the meandering Murchison River and spotted kayakers out on their own adventure. Formed over millions of years, the Gorge's jagged formations were a sight to behold.As we approached the pink lake, the water's surface was shimmering from the sun's rays, it's pink hue looked vibrant under a cloudless deep blue sky. Ashley made a few passes so all of us had a good view and took many photos.We flew low along the coast on the return leg of the journey, passing some attractions such as island rock, eagle gorge, blue holes beach etc. Ashley said we might spot whales and we did! Three times we saw whales swimming close to the coastal cliffs heading South with their calves.All credit to the pilot, the flight was smooth as silk so we felt comfortable throughout.Would I recommend them? Most definitely!(Note: Flight taken in Early Sept 2022)

We travelled to Abrolhos Islands in May 2023. We were the only two on tour. Lachlan was our pilot and guide and was excellent at both. We were given informative commentary during both flights and Lachlan was willing to answer any questions we had. The flight was smooth and the tour was wonderful. We cannot thank Lachlan enough for taking us on such a wonderful tour. I thoroughly recomend this tour and tour company.

We were up in the air for 1h45m with Ashley and had a great time. Besides a capable pilot he was also a great tour guide. We’d already done all the lookout points on land from the Gorge and Pink Lake, but to see those landmarks from a Cessna was great too. Added bonus were of course the islands off the coast where the Batavia crew was stranded. Value for money.

The best thing ever to be done in Kalbarri, you will see all what this lovely town would offer in an unforgettable flight of almost 2 hours, with nice commentary from the pilot about the region.. Highly recommended

We had a terrific day with our Pilot Ashley. To see Kalbarri and the Abrolhos Islands from above was an amazing experience . Perfect weather. Landed on Wallaby Island for a swim, snorkel, food and drinks and a good chat about the history of the Islands. Money well spent ... a must do whilst in Kalbarri

We did the Abrolhos Discovery Tour. Try get Pesch as your pilot - he is brilliant - he gave enough information but not overload. Knew his stuff and told us exactly what to look for. Thoroughly recommend

An overall great experience, great stories told and saw an abundance of wildlife. Well worth the trip to East Wallabi Island. The Abrolhos from above are spectacular. Thank you for a fantastic day out.
